Roy M. Mau, 70, of Mountain View died July 1 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a woodcarver for the former Kamaaina Woods in Honokaa and U.S. Navy veteran. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by companion, Dayle Miyashiro of Mountain View; sister, Robin (Derek) Hanzawa of Honolulu; brothers, Rod Mau of Honolulu and Richard (Fai) Mau Jr. of Indonesia; an uncle, nieces and nephews. Leonard “Lenny Boy” Kawaihoohie Mock Chew, 46, of Honaunau died July 15 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealakekua, he was a construction laborer for Isemoto Contracting Co., Bolton Construction Co., Matsumoto Construction Co., Nan Inc., CW Maintenance Cleaning Service, Cameli Plastering and CTS Earth Moving Co., member of KHPC Horseshoe Club, Laborers International Union of North America Local 368 and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitation 7 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Kona Stake Center in Kailua-Kona. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Luncheon and fellowship to follow at the Old Kona Airport Makaeo Pavilion. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
